About Nahargarh Fort, Jaipur
Situated on the top of the Aravalli hills, The Nahargarh Fort offers a magnificent view of the entire spread of the city of Jaipur. It used to be a defence fort and was built by Maharaja SawaiJai Singh II. It served for the purpose of fortification of the city when it used to be under attack. The fort was also used to shelter and house the British inhabitants and the royal natives during the Sipahi Mutiny of 1857.
During the reign of Sawai Ram Singh in the later decades, the fort was heavily renovated and several rooms were added. The royal suites and rooms of the fort are interconnected through secured passages that are decorated intricately. One of The remarkable additions,MadhavendraBhavan, went on to become the royal residence of the queens of Jaipur, along with the topmost storey being a luxurious suite for the King.

Nahargarh Fort, Jaipur Reviews
Nice place to hang around. Sport facility's and jogging tracks available. Green grass, colourful flowers, birds are there. People are ther but preserve your privacy. Common facility, car parking also available. Chairs available for sitting. Some stray dogs are there, though.... Nahargarh Fort has amazing paintings that decorates the wall of the fort. Nahargarh Fort has magnificent views of the city. Beautiful sunset is seen from this fort. A good place to be with the family and friends. Went there by open air jeep to see the sunset and have dinner at the once upon a time restaurant. 5 star experience with great service including chasing away the curious monkeys. This fort is very big on a very high hill....need an auto or taxi to reach there...this is very big and offers excellent views of the entire fort.....nice architecture and a.must to visit in Jaipur.
Enjoyed visiting this place. It is a palace built for the Queens and the other mistresses of the King. And you will be overawed about the opulence of the royalty of the times to keep all their mistresses happy. Very interesting architecture and kudos to the present day private players who provided sponsorship in preserving this place and blend the otherwise bland place with some interesting modern architecture as well
Probably the best place to enjoy breathtaking views of Jaipur. There isn't much else. Do suggest you to take the Nahargarh road to get there. U can either walk (only if you can handle a bit of steep climb) or take a two wheeler. Else you will have to go all the way around from Jaigarh fort side and it would cost a lot if you are hailing a cab.
Historical fort............high election.........superb architect, beyond imagination..............air remains cool..........even in extreme hot..........a must visit place...........photoshoot sight....... always blows a cool breeze.......................huge structure............ visible from road............ surrounded by good hotels...........feels elated after visiting............. nominal ticket......... begetting name....... irresistible........ ....foreign tourist attraction.. .. ...... metro station nearby...........
Such a beautiful place to see the city. You have to go on the terrace to see every part of the city. It is worth the 200 rupees for a foreigner tourist. There is a wax museum that is 500 rupees (I didn't go in because it's not something I am into). Please be prepare for people asking for selfies with you (if you're a woman), but do not be scared to decline. It's a great way to spend an afternoon walking around the fort. Fruits and snacks are sold outside at the entrance. There is a restaurant inside (I didn't go). Enjoy the view and the heritage feel of the fort.
