Situated on the top of the Aravalli hills, The Nahargarh Fort offers a magnificent view of the entire spread of the city of Jaipur. It used to be a defence fort and was built by Maharaja SawaiJai Singh II. It served for the purpose of fortification of the city when it used to be under attack. The fort was also used to shelter and house the British inhabitants and the royal natives during the Sipahi Mutiny of 1857.
During the reign of Sawai Ram Singh in the later decades, the fort was heavily renovated and several rooms were added. The royal suites and rooms of the fort are interconnected through secured passages that are decorated intricately. One of The remarkable additions,MadhavendraBhavan, went on to become the royal residence of the queens of Jaipur, along with the topmost storey being a luxurious suite for the King.

Super awesome views of the city. You can walk from Nahargarh Palace Hotel (on the ground next to the hill) to the top in about 20-30 minutes. Would recommend, since it's free and has great views. Also it's much faster and cheaper than going via the Amer area. Only downside is that the entrance to the fort is a little too touristy for my taste (many shops and a random wax museum). Might be nice for others though.
Beautiful place, You can have great Jaipur city view from Nahargarh fort. No need to take Guide at this place. Nothing they will explain to you instead you can have a walk through the entire fort. This place is very nice for the photography.
Good clean well maintained fort. Its really small so there is nothing much to do inside. Tip: Take a guide so that you can understand the place and its really cheap like Rs100 or so and then you'll be able to spend a worthy time. The view of the Jaipur city from the top of the fort is awesome. There is one restaurant inside which is open at night as well which you can visit to have an even better night time view of the city.
Nice place. Though most of the sections have been decorated for amusement, you can see the palace inside this fort. The attractive thing is to watch sunset and see the whole Jaipur city from the top. The sight is amazing and breathtaking.
The highest point to witness whole Jaipur view. The view is magnificent, also if you have good binoculars you can see many places of attraction in Jaipur city. The fort premises has many movie locations, reach at top by 4.00 pm to have good lighting conditions for your photo album.
