Gadisar Lake - Review

This Lake is another iconic attraction in Jaisalmer.  The lake, constructed into the hot arid desert is one of the most refreshing sight you will get to see. A boat ride in the famous GadiSar lake is a must do experience for any Jaisalmer tourist.

It isn’t just the lake that is tranquil and calm that is the real attraction. Several enclosures have been built in the water by the maharajas. These make for stunning sights amidst the green waters of the lake.

Tourists often go to the lake to enjoy a lovely sunset and take in the charmingly old beauty of it. A languid ride down the lake is sure to take you back in time.

  • Historical man made lake which also hosts Gan Gaur festival. Boating available at nominal charges. Small temple on its bank. If you want good photos of this place you need to travel in next lane to go to the other side of the lake. Looks beautiful at sunset. Wash rooms are available at the entrance.

  • One of the best and must sight seeing in jaisalmer. Very calm and peaceful lake in the heart of Jaisalmer city. Boating options are also available. Worth taking pictures of ancient architecture. We got some incredible photos here. The lake is very pretty and extremely calm but apart from that there isn't much to do here.

  • Gadhisar Lake .... In the middle of the city, it is a beautiful quiet place. Like othe places of Rajasthan pigeons are covering the roofs of all structures covering the lake. Boating is allowed though I did not try due to tight schedule.... The perfect place to start or end the day. I visited the lake at the evening time, it was relaxing after the days walking through the fort.

  • A cool, soothing place in the middle of desert. One can enjoy the beauty of the lake as well as architecture of structures surrounding it. Boating is again a good option for recreation.

  • Must visit place in Jaisalmer. The lake is serene during sunrise and sunset. It's surrounded by stepped platforms, boating facilities are also available.. A nice place for 2 hour visit in jaisalmer, best time to enjoy is 4pm to 6pm, go with your friends and try different boats. Its really worth..
