Mandir Palace - Review
The Mandir Palace used to be the residence of the rulers of Jaisalmer for more than two hundred years. Today the palace is converted to a luxury hotel and is one of the best examples of architectural and interior craftsmanship.
The Badal Vilas structure that can be seen prominently standing out in the city’s landscape, is the highlight and is the tallest structure on the hill!

Mandir Palace, Jaisalmer Reviews
A two centuries old palace converted into a hotel and meuseum (janana mahal- jawahir palace) Mandir Palace offers a concoction of medieval charm with the modern amenities. The main portion of the two centuries old Welcome Heritage Mandir Palace was built during the reign of the late Maharawal Jawahir Singh. This palace is testimony to the history of Jaisalmer with different portions of the palace being built by different rulers of Jaisalmer till as late as the beginning of the twentieth century. ‘Badal Vilas’, a unique tower like structure at Mandir Palace is the tallest structure in town below the hill-top city fort, reminding us of the incredible historical relevance attached to both the palace as well as the city of Jaisalmer. important :- all images taken from janana mahal and jawahir vilas meuseum .
Part is used by the royal family and part is a hotel... They have left a very small part open to the public... But nonetheless it is very clean and beautiful
This is a hotel,a Visitors attraction and home of the royal family. There are three parts. One part is for the royal family which is out of bounds for general public. The other part is hotel and museum part.if you want to visit the mandir and the museum there are are some extra charges for entry .If you are staying in hotel then you don't need to pay anything for the Museum. The hotel room is good and the hotel service is excellent. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. There is a swimming pool too.The restaurant here serves good food but expect the prices to be on the higher side.Around 400 rupees for every mains dish. The biffet breakfast does not habe many optioms but the service is great.Well overall the hospitality was great and we felt like we were staying in a palace.Overall it was a GOOD EXPERIENCE!

Mandir Palace is one of the most beautiful places you will ever visit. Caution : I didn’t stay there but went to there museum and common areas. It is very beautifully built and the structure is just a treat to the eyes. They have kept all the old stuffs used during the Maharaja’s time. Someting that I was very facinated was how the structure was built and its desiging from inside ( I have also shared some pictures kf the same).
