About Tangkuban Perahu, Jakarta Pusat
Tangkuban Perahu (spelt Tangkuban Parahu in the local Sundanese dialect) is a stratovolcano 30 km north of the city of Bandung, the provincial capital of West Java, Indonesia. It erupted in 1826, 1829, 1842, 1846, 1896, 1910, 1926, 1929, 1952, 1957, 1961, 1965, 1967, 1969, 1983, and 2013. It is a popular tourist attraction where tourists can hike or ride to the edge of the crater to view the hot water springs and boiling mud up close, and buy eggs cooked on the hot surface. Together with Mount Burangrang and Bukit Tunggul, it is a remnant of the ancient Mount Sunda after the plinian eruption caused the Caldera to collapse. In April 2005 the Directorate of Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation raised an alert, forbidding visitors from going up the volcano. "Sensors on the slopes of the two mountains - Anak Krakatoa on the southern tip of Sumatra Island and Tangkuban Perahu in Java - picked up an increase in volcanic activity and a build up of gases, said government volcanologist Syamsul Rizal."Wikipedia

This is a place if you like to get an experience that volcanic arena. There is a story behind may be trust but little difficult to trust. Totally different types of the people and Environment. Good place. Nice to be there.
Nice place to go to. With a good view and cold air, nice people. The local guides are friendly as well. One more point, not very far from Bandung city.
Amazing view... really👍👍 fresh air, love this. Love bandung
One of favorite views in West Java, volcano with a unique legendary story. Recommended place for travel and feels free here.
Good experience as it is my first visit to volcano crater. But they charge 10 times higher entrance fee for foreigner. Local pay 20k (weekday) & 30k (weekend). But foreigner need to pay 200k (weekday) & 300k (weekend). This is the only place in Bandung that charge so much different between local & foreigner. There is totally no facility provided for the money paid. Better visit Kawah Putih. This charge will kill off the tourism in this place. Local tour guides had highlighted to local authorities. But no action taken.
