Witness a unique and intriguing example of Indian architecture when you visit the Vishnu Mandir in Janjgir. The temple appears to be incomplete because it was built in two halves. Interestingly, the upper half of the temple is placed on the sides because the construction could not be completed for unknown reasons. It was being built in the 12th century and displays some truly magnificent stone carvings and figurines depicting mythological stories of Hinduism. The Bhima lake situated right next to the Vishnu Mandir adds a beautiful touch to the pristine and serene ambience of the temple.
