Miette Hot Springs, Jasper Reviews

  • Very nice (and amazingly affordable) hot springs. There are 4 pools, 1 hot, 1 less hot, 1 cool and 1 cold so you can jump between them to help regulate the heat. Pools are very accessible with shallow and deep areas and there were lots of families with kids (but not obnoxious kids). There's a cafe that I didn't go to and everything was very clean. Beautiful place to catch the sunset and they are open until late. If like me you are car camping (or just camping in general) this is a very cheap way to get a shower with the bonus of relaxing in the springs. I also stopped at the little "resort" just down the hill and had a delicious blueberry frozen yogurt. Good way to cool down after the springs.

  • This is a nice place to enjoy the hot springs. It is about 45 mins from Jasper to the northeast. It is a nice scenic drive and you have a good chance to see some wildlife. There are multiple pools ranging from hot to cold (17 degrees is the coldest). The facility is very nice and clean. There are also a few hiking trails near the area.

  • Miette Hot Springs are a great place to visit when exploring spots in and around Jasper National Park. It's short drive off the main highway on well paved roads. The parking lot is a bit cramped and if you go on a busy day make sure you drop someone off at the entrance to stand in line as it can take 30+ minutes to get in. They have cold pools and large hot pool - a temperature for everyone. The view of the surrounding mountains is inspiring and the pools are relaxing. This is a basic public facility and there is nothing luxurious about the pools or change rooms. You can rent bathing suits and towels and lockers are only $1 when you pay the entrance fee. Miette is a nice excursion and a beautiful relaxing location. I wouldn't consider it a must see but it is well worth a visit. And yes it can snow even in July!!

  • Place was big and crowded but still very nice and affordable. The drive up the mountain is scary for people not usr to driving up mountains. I recommend going early and doing a hike close by and then hitting the springs afterward. It has 2 colder pools to cool down. And my hair/ skin felt nice after.

  • Perfect setting that is so close to a perfect score, the hotter of the two pools needs more seating, and too many people don’t remove shoes in change room, but these gripes are insignificant. It’s very relaxing, staff is friendly, and they replace the water every day. There is a zero entry for special needs. The entry fee is fair, $20 for a family of 4, or $28.50 for a day pass with re-entry. We make a day of it parking the RV up there and hiking, and exploring, and then return in the evening for another dip. We have been there when it’s just us there, and also when there are 300 people.
