Bunjae Artpia - Review
It takes something special to be listed as one of the most beautiful gardens in the world, but the Bunjae Artpia is up to the challenge. As the largest bonsai garden in the world, with over 1700 trees (of which about 100 are rare tree species) and a hundred thousand flowers, the garden welcomes over 300,000 people every year. The rich collection reflects 700 years work of Korean botanical history. One of the oldest trees at the park is a 300 years old yew-tree. The other highlight is the 100 year old Hwangpi elm tree. Stone walls, stone ponds, wooden bridges and waterfalls put finishing touches to the garden's beauty.
There is a also a large Korean restaurant on site, with views of the garden. Open for lunch buffet only, the restaurant serves up quite decent Jeju-specialty fare.
