Gimnyeong Maze Park - Review
The maze, though a simple looking attraction, is quite curious in character. It was funded by Frederic H. Dustin, and American Professor at Cheju National University, a man who fell in love with the island 27 years ago. The foliage making up the maze comes from all over Asia. The shape of the maze imitates the coast of the island; inside, iconic images or replicas of landmarks of Jeju decorate the pathways. These include a serpent, horses, a 16th century shipwreck, and bronze age dolmens. There are also skywalks. Tourists can snap panoramic images of the area from the observatory. Though the maze isn't difficult to navigate, people DO get lost in it if they're not carrying a map, and end up having to call for help!

Gimnyeong Maze Park, Jeju-si Reviews
We enjoyed going through the maze-- getting lost, going around and around and trying out different paths to take. I love the cats also! They are all so chubby!
I really loved my experience here. It is a legit maze for adults and it was fun to go around and ring the bell at the end. There are many cute quotes along the way and the place is a safe haven to hundreds of cats that can be seen lounging about in the sun. Recommend for a chill morning 😍😍
A fun place to stop for an hour or two in Jeju. They had a lot of cute photo spots. This place was overrun with kiddos though. At night it night be different, but I don't know when they close. This maze also has a collection of cats that have free run of the place The hedges in many spots didn't look too healthy so it kinda makes you feel sad like when you see animals poorly cared for at a zoo. It was fun with friends, can't imagine going it alone. We didn't know this until after, but apparently there are 4 stamps you are suppose to collect before you ring the bell. We just thought it was funny to see our friend book it and leave us in the dust only to finish last with 3 stamps. When we finished, we were given a free postcard. Yay!!
We'd never done a hedge maze before but something about the cats, the orange juice, and all the cute photo opportunities made it feel magical. The whole place was a blast. I recommend bringing water in the summer though.
Very friendly staff. Able to speak English and ooen towards foreigners, but there were also Korean visitors. Many stray cats and a fun experience, even for adults. Nicely kept and a store with acceptable pricing.
