Jeju Mysterious Road - Review
A short distance from the city, the 200 metre stretch of road is utterly normal looking, but for one fact. Any car left stationary on the road will start to roll uphill. The same is true for any liquids dropped on the surface. This apparently contemptuous defiance of gravity delights everyone who visits the road. Luckily, this is a mere optical illusion. The countryside around the hill rises high, creating the illusion that the road is rising as well. In truth, there is a slight downslope to the hill. Still, it's a mind-bending sight and absolutely worth checking out!

Jeju Mysterious Road, Jeju-si Reviews
Hehehe the legend and the optical illusion here is quite good. We have one in Lake Wales, Florida, but all the growth has changed the natural landscape, so it is less impactful. Mysterious Road (Dokkaebi Road) is very enjoyable. Can be completed in 5 minutes.
Very mystery... Yr car put n gear and yr car can move it without put the date gear.. 啊nice experience
I went there with the tour bus so.. Meh. If you drive your own car here it will be better, I guess. When on the road simply turn off your engine and watch the car moving 'up' the hill by its own (optical illusion, the car is actually going downhill). And honestly, there's not much to see there.
It'll take about 10 minutes to see cars rolling uphill. There is a Korean archery experience and a few drink stalls along the road. It's quite fun for a while. 1. Drive to the bottom of the slope. You'll see where all the other cars are lining up. Opposite the 7 eleven. 2. Put your hazard lights on. 3. Put your car into neutral and release your brakes. 4. Watch for cars overtaking you. Tips: bring some cans or a ball to roll. Keep your kids close because cars will be overtaking each other here.
I've experienced this before in middle east but first time in Jeju Korea. 1. You have to pay attention to start and end signboard. 2. When u arrived at starting point, put double signal on. 3. Then change gear to Neutral then release ur feet from pressing gasoline. Dont worry your car will not roll backward/downward but instead it roll upward/forward. Have fun trying!
