Jeolmul Natural Forest - Review

There are two reasons to visit the park - the cedar forest, and the views. Jeolmul Oreum, the park's mountain, is a volcanic cone 697 metres high. Climbing to the top takes you to an observatory. From there you can see a horseshoe shaped crater; look east for views of the Seongsan Ilchubong; and in the west, you'll spot the Musuchon Stream. The cedar and pine expanse - about 300 hectares in size - keep the forest cool even in summertime, making it a popular retreat among those who live in the city. Several trails, a promenade and a pond make for nice strolling. You can even reserve a stay at one of the forest cabins on site. You'll also find a woodcraft exhibition site and a woodland exhibition site. To cap it all off, there's a mineral spring too.

  • I was here during a very, very hot summer time. The greenery and tall trees were so refreshing. There are many different pathways so you can do a long loop or a short loop. A long pathway can take you many hours. A lot of benches are available and cabin area is also located in the park if anyone is interested in staying overnight. Parking is not free but not expensive either. A pond, drinking fountain, a small creek for feet washing, and small temple are all inside. It's a beautiful place to check out when you are in Jeju.

  • Nice forest to walk around and you can see orum here.

  • I would visit it again when go to Jeju island. It is such peaceful, relaxing with many natural reserved trees..making the environment cooling and calm.

  • Really nice but sometimes the directions were not really clear.
