Literally translating to the “Fair of Horses”, Feria del Caballo is one of the most celebrated things to do in Jerez. Considered a major celebration in this quaint Spanish municipality, Feria del Caballo is one of the pioneering factors in drawing visitors here. For these reasons, this attraction is also declared as the international interest celebration by Spanish Secretariat for Tourism and Commerce.
With roots dug deep in the medieval ages, the fair is characterized by farmers coming together to sell animals, while making merry with traditional sherry. In Jerez, the sale of horses is what the farmers deal in. The estimated time of this celebration is usually during the month of May, a week after the Seville Fair which was historically a livestock fair. Divided into two parts, visitors can look forward to a theme park place that consists various rides and the other part depicts a small village complete with a street dotted by bars and restaurants! Indeed, one place that is perfect for both adults and kids.
