This place is huge and there is so much to see and learn. If you bring a stroller, there is no place to store it and you will miss a third of the attractions. The majority of the staff are very friendly, helpful, and professional. Our whole family had a good time! Don't buy the pictures, though. They promise you digital copies but the digital copies aren't available and nobody ever gets back to you about it.
Awesome hands-on science exhibits and special programs, including "themed" exhibits (earlier in 2018, Star Trek was amazing!). An annual membership is available, which gives you lots of extras all year long. Having the membership will speed you through the process of checking-in when you arrive - lines can be long! Of course, LSC is kid friendly! Easy access, even by NJ Transit Train. There are many levels, and many "nooks and crannies" to explore. You can easily spend the day browsing, learning, and interacting with the, well, interactive exhibits. A perfect place to learn while having great fun. An awesome destination for school field trips. There is a nice view of the NYC skyline and the Statue of Liberty, which is a short distance away. Lots of interesting gifts in the inside shop (some a bit pricey), but there are many reasonably priced choices of keepsake items for the kids. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Great place to go with "ALL" members and age groups.. a lot to see and great shows as well... Good to call ahead and try to assure it's not a school trip day!! If so the place gets really packed with lots of kids running around, which is not a bad thing.. just depends on what type of day you would like to have with your family. Enjoy!!
Good place but not as expected. It could have been better if there had been more scientific experiments for kids and adults for practice. However, some sections are awesome for kids. May be my expectations are very high from LSC but I'm sure kids will like and love it. Good for at least one-time visit. In-fact i enjoyed with my family because my kids enjoyed very much, however if I had been alone, i don't think I would have enjoyed much. The best attraction however was Walking on the Beam. In short, good place to go with family.
Please double check your ticket for time and show requested. Last year we purchased tickets to the Planetarium. At check in we were refused because the ticket said 8pm ( even though we requested a 2 pm show). There was no 8pm show. After getting up the manager came out and give us complementary tickets to return another day. We returned today, specifically told the employee at the ticket counter that we needed tickets to the next available show at the Planetarium. She asked us to pick our show ( Black hole)which we did. Very excited we got into the check in line 20 minutes before show time. To our surprise when the employee at the Planetarium checked our tickets, he stated that the tickets were for the laser show located in another theatre. By now you should know what our responses were. He was nice enough to let us in because the show was not sold out. The employees at the ticket counter need to be trained and need to listen to the customers need. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR TICKETS.
