  • Please double check your ticket for time and show requested. Last year we purchased tickets to the Planetarium. At check in we were refused because the ticket said 8pm ( even though we requested a 2 pm show). There was no 8pm show. After getting up the manager came out and give us complementary tickets to return another day. We returned today, specifically told the employee at the ticket counter that we needed tickets to the next available show at the Planetarium. She asked us to pick our show ( Black hole)which we did. Very excited we got into the check in line 20 minutes before show time. To our surprise when the employee at the Planetarium checked our tickets, he stated that the tickets were for the laser show located in another theatre. By now you should know what our responses were. He was nice enough to let us in because the show was not sold out. The employees at the ticket counter need to be trained and need to listen to the customers need. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR TICKETS.

  • Good fun and learning for the kids and staff. I highly recommend the annual family membership. I also recommend arriving at 9:00 when the center opens. We spend the whole morning playing. Then we have lunch on our own right as the center starts to get busy. I order the chef special every time and it is fantastic! I also take my family to eat in two rooms all the way in the back close to the Hudson River. Nobody ever goes to those rooms, so it makes us feel like special royalty. I also recommend the Halloween membership party every year. and my daughter had a science center birthday party here one year. It may have been the best birthday party that my daughter has had. The science center's parking is expensive, and some exhibits are really old. The big grant they just won for the renovation will be tremendous help toward making the center one of the best in America. We can't wait ! :-D

  • Highly recommended. One of the best science museums in the country. Expansive, interactive, and well maintained. Exhibits are in good working order and clean. Planetarium is huge (billed as the largest in the Western Hemisphere) and has a very popular Sesame Street themed “One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure” show that will entertain your kids. There is so much to offer that a membership is definitely worth it if you live locally.

  • I loved the place. I am a science nerd since ever, and going here as an adult really spiked that inner child once more. There are TONS of activities for children and a bunch for adults as well. You MUST see the planetarium movie in that round theater, it is amazing. Even the 3D is outstanding on the other shows. It is a great family time and a really amazing environment. A must go for science and engineering enthusiasts.

  • Getting there via 78 was very easy!!!!! Crowd was a lot of children in the entryway but once pass that area, the center could support all persons there. Both my grandson totally enjoyed the interactive events. The show “night sky” was very informative and well worth the time. The food in the cafeteria provided a nice selection and was very fresh and flavorful. Great day with the family.
