Love this museum! So many interesting exhibits, and they're constantly changing. It's very informative, in a fun and interactive way. I remember coming here as a child on a school trip - it left an indelible impression on me. It's definitely a very fun way for children(& adults!) to learn about science in a way that is exploratory, sparks imagination, curiosity, and allows them to relate what they're learning back to real life. It really is the best way to learn and wish more schools would have more field trips like this more often! It should be part of the curriculum :))) Even as an adult I still love the museum and am excited to see what's next!
The liberty science center rocks!. It has plenty of parking space, but you have to pay for it, unless you have the membership. The kids enjoy the different displays, experiments and the hands on learning activities, animals, movies and so much more. This place has something for every age group. The food is also good, but a bit pricey so it pays to bring your own. I totally recommend the family membership.
I visited with my 11-year-old niece and we enjoyed ourselves but were disappointed that many of the more interesting exhibits seemed to come with an additional "premium" cost. Some of the exhibits were not working and the more interesting ones had significant wait times/ guests utilizing that were less than inclined to share. It's possible that the center was just over crowded that particular day. The staff placed throughout the center were personable and engaged with visitors, but the woman who helped us purchase tickets seemed very uninterested in being there.
Great place for kids. And after that, just 3 min drive, you can find a old railway station there. This is the most beautiful public park in this city. You can enjoy the great view of Manhattan and Hudson River. The parking there is free.
Had a great time with 13 year old daughter. Lots of interesting and fun things to do. Interactive and entertaining. We were there from 10am until closing. Wonderful. Only negatives are food and gift shop prices. A little high for the quality. A great way to spend a day with kids. Be prepared to walk. ☺
