Located near Journal Square; the Stanley Theatre at John F Kennedy Boulevard and Pavonia Avenue was opened to public in 1928 with an orchestral performance of ‘Sky Blues’. Designed by architect Fred Wesley Wentworth, it was the second largest theatre on the East Coast with a seating capacity of 4300.
Grand staircase, lighted stained glass windows, walls with grottoes, arches and columns adorning the courtyard motif are worth observing!
