  • We arrived at the ferry terminal and found no guidance or signs telling us where to go, so we asked the NPS employee behind the counter who said "oh, the weather is bad so there are no ferries today", as if we were the first people to ask and we should have already known. We then checked the Statue cruises web site and facebook page and saw no mention of cancelled ferries. Our printed tickets didn't say anything about calling ahead to make sure ferries were running. We booked tickets online so Statue Cruises had my email address and should have been able to send an email. We were quickly refunded the ticket price, but we wasted hours of our time and money on transit to and from the terminal. I understand that they can't control the weather and sometimes have to cancel, but they should have at least made an effort to communicate with us and offer an apology. They didn't even make the minimal effort to put up a sign at the ferry terminal! A couple days later we received a "post cruise survey" from Statue Cruises. I left comments and checked the "please contact me" box, but never heard a word from them.

  • The cruise is a nice experience in itself. The facilities are well maintained and there is a small snacks counter on the cruise itself. The boarding area is open and sunny days make it difficult. A shade gere would be helpful. The cruise itself is well maintained and is quite timely. A big thank you to the friendly crew here too !!

  • Use statue cruises to get pedestal tickets. Same prices, better experience. Boarding from New Jersey is more convenient. More chances of getting a ticket on a short notice, cheap parking. Skip Ellis island if you are short on time.

  • Had better experience and less crowded than battery park and plenty of space to park if you are driving. Only down side is the summer heat while waiting to board the ferry. A shaded waiting area would be nice

  • We booked crown tour. It was an incredible experience that being inside the crown of the liberty status.
