The Muslim Quarter stretches from the Lion’s gate to the Western Wall route and is the starting point of the Via Dolorosa- the route taken by Jesus Christ to his Crucifixion.
The quarter had a mixed number of Jews, Muslims and Christian up until the 1929 riots and till today a few Jewish families reside here. The quarter has many attractions including Jewish buildings and remains of Roman and Crusader structures.
