Balsamand Lake And Garden - Review
The lake is a man-made construct, built in 1159 AD by Balak Rao Parihar to provide water to the city of Mandore. One kilometre long, 15 metres deep, and 50 metres wide, it is a rather convenient picnic spot not far from Jodhpur. The best way to experience it is if you stay at the Lake Palace built on red-sandstone, but it's not mandatory. You still get to take in the lush greenery and the wildlife even if you're not a guest. It is a pretty and peaceful place.

Balsamand Lake And Garden, Jodhpur Reviews
Its was an amazing experience staying here. The resort is quite big with some construction work going towards the pool side. Rooms are nice and spacious. Food quality was awesome, staff was courteous enough...loved everything!
Its a good get away.. Rooms are really classy.. And their up keep is good. Hospitality is good but it seems like the staff are more interested in serving people from other countries and their relutancy to serve indians is clearly visible. But the place is truly romantic. Lakes gardens, horses, fountains and a beautiful old palace and good food all in the same place. The place is really beautiful. But I could see the marked difference in hospitality shown to us and the foreigners. When I complained about the rudeness the management staff were least interested in listening to it. This might be my personal experience. But its no doubt the place is beautiful.. And its not a place to spend more than two days.
Amazing food preparations and a very good collection of liquor. The greenery around really adds to the rustic charm of the place along with the candles and traditional music. Must visit for anyone visiting jodhpur.
A brilliant t wedding venue. Despite the summer heat of April, the trees ensured that the weather always remained pleasant. The food here is simply amazing. Kudos to Chef Jaspreet, in particular
Old summer retreat for Jodhpur’s royalty, this place is now converted into a hotel with world class selection of food and drinks. There is also a small temple housing Dadi Mataji- the Kuldevi for the Bhansali’s.
