This Milky-white marble memorial to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, sitting above a small lake 1km northeast of Mehrangarh, is an array of whimsical domes. It’s a welcome, peaceful spot after the hubbub of the city, and the views across to the fort and over the city are superb. Built in 1899, the cenotaph has some beautiful jalis (carved marble lattice screens) and is hung with portraits of the Rathore rulers going back to the 13th century. Look out for the memorial to a peacock that flew into a funeral pyre. Jaswant Thada is one of the main tourist attractions to visit and should definitely feature in you Rajasthan Itinerary 2 Weeks

Special place to visit and a nice story. Guides are not expensive, yet they also try to seek you things at the end, which I don’t like. Nevertheless good to visit!
Extremely neat and clean. In fact almost all of Jodhpur was such.... was a pleasure This is basically a tomb of all the royalty whose last rites are done here close to the palace and fort but there is no sign of the rites near here..... its beautiful and the structures are all so lovely Peaceful and quiet so you can spend some time with yourself. You have to remove footwear if you want to enter the specific tombs but can walk around with shoes on
Beautiful memorial built in marble. I visited this place with my wife in November 2015 and really had very nice time. Recommend for visit by all
Marble carved funerary monument for the royals of jodhpur. A peaceful place... It's calm and there is a lake by the side where u can just watch birds flocking ... Visit during evening to feel the cool breeze and watch the sunset with Mehrangarh Fort in it's foreground...
Wow, it's hard to believe that how our royals were lived to fullest. The size and architecture of samadhis are truly stunning.
