This Milky-white marble memorial to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, sitting above a small lake 1km northeast of Mehrangarh, is an array of whimsical domes. It’s a welcome, peaceful spot after the hubbub of the city, and the views across to the fort and over the city are superb. Built in 1899, the cenotaph has some beautiful jalis (carved marble lattice screens) and is hung with portraits of the Rathore rulers going back to the 13th century. Look out for the memorial to a peacock that flew into a funeral pyre. Jaswant Thada is one of the main tourist attractions to visit and should definitely feature in you Rajasthan Itinerary 2 Weeks

Only thing i would like to point out with sadness is that many school or college bunking students have been noticed to be mingling in intimate postures in such serene and respected place. So the concerned authorities are requested to look into the matter. Also other visitors are hereby humbly requested to point out the issue.
Awesome place. Beautiful structure and area is very green. Can spend an hour or so relaxing on grass here when you come visiting from Mehrangarh fort. Very quite and peaceful. Can overlook good part of city when you are here and some important monuments.
It is recommended that you go here with a guide or join a group with guide who knows the History behind the Kings (You'll get to see the paintings of Kings from 1205!) It's not much fun to go alone and not know the depth and history of these pictures and the place itself. (Pay a little extra and Hire a Guide for this place)
Serene place. Go for sunrise. Very well maintained with nicely paved roads. Place to eat. Clean and neat as well as nicely maintained washrooms. I would definitely recommend this place
It is a nice calm quite and cool place. You get an opportunity to listen folk music sitting under the tree having coffee shop and clean toilets. You can spend 4 hours at the place
