Mac Mac Falls, Johannesburg Reviews
Its a quick stop you can work in on your route. 15-20 max time spent there. R10 entrance. Nice view of the falls. Wear comfy shoes.
Amazing waterfall, but the viewing point is obscured by too much safety fencing. The parking is very close to the falls and only a short walk is needed, which can be completed by most ages/abilities.
A longish walk to the viewing point from the open parking lot. Good souvenir shops on the way.. beautiful waterfall and one can take an alternative route to the base for swimming and Cliff diving.
The falls were breath taking. The water was icy cold. The scenery is stunning. Restrooms are around. Not the best area for wheelchair access. Ideal for picnics. Must exercise control with little kids as it can be very uneven in areas.
You have to pay R10 per person on entry which was a bit strange and same for God's window. There were a few nice stalls with creative pieces to purchase. The falls are very pretty but there is a large green palisade fence which obscures the view and no place to sit and enjoy the view.
