The Julian Pioneer Museum is a beautiful local Museum that houses a fantastic array of artefacts that portray the history of Julian. Housed in a building dating back to the late 1800’s, you would be able to find clothing items, photographs, gold mining artefacts and those belonging to the American Indian life, household furnishings, and more. The artefacts that can be seen throughout the museum offer a visual narrative regarding the history of the area from the year 1869 to the turn of the last century. There’s also an exhibition on lace creation and design, along with varied kinds of clothing that women wore. Everything is very well-organised at Julian Pioneer Museum and there’s a lot to see here.
