Known to be the site of the royal castle, Burg Berge is a historical sight. Located deep into the woods of Germany, all that remains of the once glorious castle is its outer wall, in ruins. Its origin is estimated to date back to around 1060. Built atop a hill, the traditional architectural methods and designs are said to have been used. The walls that we see today are made of crushed rocks, which may suggest that the entire castle was built using this method. The site was a result of an excavation project that was conducted in the year 1981. Enjoy your visit here.
