Sublime reimagining of the town's small once defunct sento. Ohtake's enthusiastic exploring of found object and wabisabi is heart touching and sings of the best of the spirit of Nihonjin. My only regrets are not being visiting at a time to enjoy a bath and that the utterly lovely souvenirs are not available to try before purchasing. Great in so many ways.
Cute art project: a bath house decorated with kitschy objects. Didn't bring a towel and soap? They'll sell you a kit with entry for 1500Y
It's a public bath with modern art and interesting decoration. Opens until 9pm.
Super onsen, small with friendly staff and great deco. Bring shampoo and towel, otherwise an extra 1k yen
Kitschy, but on point as a public bath. Neither the bath not the art/kitsch really wowed me though.
