The Peninsular town of Kaikoura is a lovely gateway. This place is rich in its marine wealth and has a lot of activities on offer. To add to this, the tall and mighty Kaikoura ranges flank one side of it making it exceptionally blessed with amazing natural beauty. Moreover, it is also culturally important due to its Maori heritage. It is a small town and hence none of the noisy, commercial places will bother you. You can take a walk down the Peninsular Walkway, visit the Ohau Waterfalls, climb the mighty Kaikouran Moutains or watch the majestic whales on the coast; all of this in great peace while enjoying the charming and rustic flavour of the town. It is certainly a town worth putting on your "Places to Visit" Bucketlist just beacause of it's unique nature. Be sure to carry sunscreen!
