Great learning experience! Staff knew their stuff. Very interesting! Good for kids and adults alike.
I visited here with my wife on our last day in Hawaii. Was a neat experience sure, but for 40 bucks a person, it is extremely overpriced. The entire tour took a little more than an hour. The guide was polite and fairly informative on the day to day operations of the farm, but seemed lacking in any of sea dragon endeavors. They have babies and adults and several other species of sea horses but for some reason you can’t take pictures of the babies or the breeding pairs(even with no flash). I felt the tour was more on how they as company now breed and sell sea horses than any sea horse conservation. We were given a short peak at a juvenile sea dragon (the only reason I came) but no information given about it at all. So unless you’re a diehard sea horse fan, money better spent elsewhere.
Another amazing experience with our seahorse buddies at Ocean Rider. This was our second time on the tour and enjoyed it as much as the first time. Pretty rare to say you've had a seahorse hold on to your fingers. Guide this time started off as rather rude but was ok by the end. Still highly recommended.
SO educational! The tour was just wonderful and the perfect amount of time. A bit pricey, but considering what they are doing, makes it worth every single penny.
Great educational tour of a great work being done to preserve a fragile species for our planet. Pretty neat to be able to say you've held a sea horse.
