Fritz Walter Stadion, Kaiserslautern Reviews - Write a Review
Nice stadium. Needs some upgrates. Bigger screens for people that sit higher up would be great.
Its a good stadium, with around capacity for 50,000 people. In 2004-05 when the world cup was held in Germany, this ground and the city of Kaiserslautern was one of the hosts. Its the home ground for 1. FC Kaiserslautern team. The seats are good and comfortable. There is also a place where people can stand to cheer. For Local league matches there is a separate section for away team supporters. This stadium has a part which is on top of rocks and one would be amazed to see how it holds it up. It is also very close to the Kaiserslautern Railway station (Hauptbahnhof).
Amazing environment. A big stadium with almost 50000 capacity.
Out of all the football stadiums i have been to this football staduim is the worst. For starters they waited with opening the ticket offices one hour before the match thirty minutes after the people working there said they would open. Also when ordering drinks or any types of foods the staff wouldnt accept any type of regular payments. Not VISA, Mastercard, Cash etc. And after a bit over an hour of standing outside in line for my ticket in the blazing sun, one would most likely get thirsty. Overall then, a rather awful experience.
Good stadium but if you're on the top levels you don't have many options other than go all the way down stairs to go to the toilet and grab a beer.. 1FCK is not a good team at all but still fun to go to a lively match once in a while.
