The Haiku stairs or the famously called ‘Stairway to Heaven’ is a steep hiking trail. There are a total of 3,922 steps along Oahu’s Ko’olau mountain range. They were built in 1942 during the World War II to access a radio tower located on the top. The tower was running until the 1950, but then it was decommissioned. In 2003, the steps were repaired properly. The climb is a little difficult and not for the faint hearted, but certainly worth it. The vibe is beautiful and the scenes seem straight out of a dreamland.
It takes around 3.5 hours to climb till the top but the view is surreal and definitely worth the climb.
