Seal Bay Conservation Park , Kangaroo Island Reviews

  • Loved effeminate about the area. Good info office and Cafe. Wonderful to Doreen to beach and sea lions, meet a few called in and hills, too. The free board walks to near beach and along cliff top were great to use as well. Top board walk easily accessible for wheel chairs, lower one to beach is usable but a long way back up. Beach walk not suitable for wheel chairs.

  • Wonderful place to be close, but not too close, to sea lions. They are often on the path down to the beach. It is worth the money to get a guided tour onto the beach. Also worthwhile going to the free boardwalks down to near the beach (ramps but wheel chairs may find the long slope hard work)and along (wheel chair easy) lookout. Our guide was informative, relaxed and know her wild life.

  • Suzanne our tour guide was brilliant. She answered all my son questions with enthusiasm. You have to do tour and boardwalk great to get up close to Sea lions.

  • Highly recommend a visit to Seal Bay. There are two ways of visiting the facility. The first is self-guided and the cheaper of the two options. However, you can only visit the paths as far as the few lookouts they have. It is not always guaranteed that you will see Seals. They second option is with a guide in which case you get to visit the beach with the seals. They also educate you and answer questions along the way. I highly recommend the second option. Not only did we get up and close to seals and their pups but we got to ask all of our questions. We walked out knowing more about seals than we ever expected!

  • That staff at this park are so knowledgeable and ready to answer any questions you have or assist you when they can. The woman at the front desk was kind enough to call a restaurant in Flinder's Chase to make reservations for us after we were unable to reach them for hours. The guided tour is certainly worth the money, as you get much closer to the seals compared to the boardwalk. With that said, the boardwalk offers spectacular views and is included in the guided tour price. We were fortunate enough to have the tour all to ourselves, and thus the guide gave us extra time on the walk. The guide was very kind, and we learned a lot about seal behavioural habits, anatomy, and conservation efforts. Definitely experience this park if you have the opportunity.
