Sprawling over 190 acres, the Allen Forest Zoo or Kanpur Prani Udhyan is a spacious and family-friendly zoo with extensive native and exotic animals in moated enclosures and in open habitat. It is the largest open green area in Kanpur. Various landscapes and habitats are seen in the Allen Forest Zoo namely the botanical garden, lake, aviary, aquarium and night house. Mammals like Asian Tigers, Leopard, Cheetah, Hyena, Black Bear, Grizzly Bear, Rhinoceros, Monkeys, Jaguar, Zebra, Musk Deer, Hippopotamus and Sloth, besides Indian Gharials, Ostriches, Emu, Crane, Parrot, Porcupine and Palm Civets are there to greet you. Other attractions include the life size dinosaur models and the toy train rides.
