Located by the Vivekananda memorial rock, on top of a beautiful island stands the magnificent stone sculpture that is 133 feet tall. This masterpiece of art is of the great Tamil poet philosopher Tiruvalluvar. The sculpture is strategically located amidst the beauty of two seas uniting with the vast Indian Ocean in its surroundings. • This is a gigantic statue overlooking Kanyakumari.... Huge statue, it was under renovation... but its a marvelous beauty.... It is on the rock in the middle of the sea. It's a huge 133 feet high Thiruvalluvar Statue, which has been installed by Tamil Nadu Government. Wish it had been open for a visit.

  • This Statue is built in remembrance to the accomplished philosopher and poet Thiruvalluvar. The 133 feet statue tells the 1330 poems under 133 headings. Ferry service runs from Kanyakumari to Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Thiruvalluvar Statue. Ride costs Rs.34/- One of the unique location. Worth Visiting.

  • Amazing sculpture of a great man who wrote Thirukkural which is reckoned as the book of wisdom for the entire world. Felt goosebumps on seeing at this magnificent statue that brought to life this great person who once walked this land...My eternal salutations!

  • Nice and a big statue of Thiruvalluvar, who has a big place not only in Telugu but Indian philosophy, culture, and society. Statue itself is a great example of wonderful architecture on the rocks. Ferry services are available to go and come back from main land. Views of sea and mainland, both are wonderful from here. A must go place if you are visiting Kanya Kumari.

  • One of the loveliest place in south India. It is really amazing to see. Hats off to the people who constructed it. It is about 133 feet tall. The number 133 indicates the number of "adhigaram" in his poet. It is very nice place where two sea and a ocean are joining together. The statue looks good at evening time with all lightings. Has a nice view from shore.
