About Thiruvalluvar Statue, Kanyakumari

Located by the Vivekananda memorial rock, on top of a beautiful island stands the magnificent stone sculpture that is 133 feet tall. This masterpiece of art is of the great Tamil poet philosopher Tiruvalluvar. The sculpture is strategically located amidst the beauty of two seas uniting with the vast Indian Ocean in its surroundings. On climbing up to the feet of the 7000 ton statue, the 360 degree view of the area is indeed breathtaking.

  • Wow, it's really great experience to me and my family. More 100 feet high statue makes really happy and Cool mind. Unfortunately now entry to that palce closed but with the help of political help or higher official recommendation you can visit here

  • This is an absolute wonder. Standing at 40+ metres its amazing to see how these structures were constructed on a rock bounded by seas on all sides.

  • Amazing architecture. The winds are pretty strong here. Be careful if visiting with kids.

  • This is the statue of the famous Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar during the Sangam age. It is a picturesque landmark and the lighting at night is a wonderful sight to see. Tourists should aim this place for early evenings when the lighting of the statue along with that of the lighting of the Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a magnificient sight.
