Thiruvalluvar Statue - Review

Located by the Vivekananda memorial rock, on top of a beautiful island stands the magnificent stone sculpture that is 133 feet tall. This masterpiece of art is of the great Tamil poet philosopher Tiruvalluvar. The sculpture is strategically located amidst the beauty of two seas uniting with the vast Indian Ocean in its surroundings. On climbing up to the feet of the 7000 ton statue, the 360 degree view of the area is indeed breathtaking. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Kanyakumari itinerary 1 day.

Thiruvalluvar Statue, Kanyakumari Reviews

  • Monumental tribute to a great poet and philosopher. The huge statue of Thiruvalluvar, a renowned ancient Tamil Saint & Poet, constructed in the year 2000 adjacent to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial amidst the sea. We had an opportunity to visit the place by return ferry from Vivekananda Rock few years back. But this time the approach to the spot remains closed and viewed the statue from the beach at the confluence of the seas, from where the front view of the statue is clearly visible. The statue made with concrete & stone is really a wonder architecture being such a huge monument built within the sea & reminds the gorgeousness of Statue of Liberty. A personal opinion: This may be the best location. But two unique & gorgeous memorial situated side by side amidst the sea at the tip of subcontinent just divides the attention of the visitor & thus shares their own excellence instead as they deserve individually.

  • Thiruvalluvar Statue is s statue in a rock inside sea about half kilometers. It I'd near to Vivekananda para(Vivekananda rock). To both Thiruvalluvar Statue and Vivekananda para we have to travel in boat. If you reach there you can sea the sea or ocean which surrounds you. It is a wonderful experience and powerful breeze. We have to appreciate builders of this statue.

  • This place is amazing. I went there with my family.i had a very good time 3 oceans meeting same place its just wonderful experience. Its last point of indian territory. Must visit friends you will remember gthis fir your Life Time.

  • it’s been long since visit to this status has been closed. I had come 2 yeras back, still the same situation. The excuse given earlier was renovation, but now the board about low tide has been out up. The notice board also has started to rust so no idea since when is that has been put up. Anyway, the view is amazing, the statue looks humongous and stand tall against the breeze.

  • Could not visit it but had a view of the statue from far off. It is quite huge and beautiful. Can be viewed from the shore as well as Vivekananda Rock memorial
