The dragon tiger tower is one of the most visited places in the city, frequented by hundreds of tourists every day. Located near the famous Lotus Pond, an artificial lake built in Zuoying District, the place is home to many attractions and temples such as the spring, autumn pavilions, and the Confucius temple. While the entire place was built in 1951 as a spiritual hub for the people, this tower came into existence later on in 1976 after its construction was ordered. The tower belongs to the Cihji Palace and is seven storied. Amongst all, its architecture is what it is praised for. The beautiful yellow walls accompanied by red pillars and orange tiles make a great background for pictures. Walk around for a while and admire the beautiful paintings decorating the interior. Visiting here is a great way to understand the traditional Kaohsiung culture.
