National Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in the Zuoying district of Kaohsiung. The place was formerly known as the World Games Stadium and can be hailed as the largest stadium in the city. Not very old, the ground was built in 2009 and seen all the great football matches held here. In fact, the 2009 World Games also took place on this very ground. The stadium has an audience capacity of about 55,000 people and was designed by Japanese architect Toyo Ito who shaped it spiral-like resembling a dragon. There are solar panels decked outside the stadium for the generation of electricity that helps in its maintenance. Anyone who loves football must definitely come here at least once. They will get to learn about the players and numerous stories accompanying them.
