The Cijin star tunnel is one of the much visited destinations in Kaohsiung. The place was excavated during the Japanese rule and passes through the Cihou mountain, their working base in the city. Originally established as a military tunnel, it now hosts a ton of tourists who come here to see the wooden plank path it’s been transformed into. To make the tunnel even more beautiful, it is decorated with paintings that keeps glowing in the dark exhibiting the concept of constellations and universe. The material used in its creation- driftwood and luminous stones along with the passing sea breeze inspires a romantic effect on the entire tunnel. Visitors, especially couples will definitely enjoy a visit here. The cave ultimately open up to the sea with stunning views around.
