The Lambai Island is a coral island sprawling over 6.8 square metres and is the only coral reef in the country, with its eight hamlets. Surrounded by the South China Sea and the Taiwan Strait, the island inhabitants are mostly related to fishing. Lots of hotels and B&Bs are there offering bike and motorbike rentals as well as scuba diving tours to let you explore the geological attractions like Vase Rock, Black Dwarf Cave, Lobster Cave, Venice Beach, Houshih Rock Formations and Beauty Cave. Nature-lovers can explore the Sea View Pavilion, Baisha Port, Liuchiu Yu Lighthouse, SanFu Port and Ecological Path and Wild Boar Ditch. Apart from a plethora of rock formations, Lambai Island also has a number of temples like Biyun Temple, Lingshan Temple and Sanlung Temple.
