Almost all the big cities in Taiwan has a special attraction to boast about, and that is what love river is to Kaohsiung. The lovely canal lies across the city for the time of dawn and dusk. Initially called as Dagou river in Qing dynasty, the place was renamed in the colonial period only to be named again as Ai He. Come here to walk across the stunning riverbanks decked with lovely greenery works and magnificent pillars with decorative iron chains, giving the place its romantic vibe. You can even hire boats on the east and west coast of the park for a ride. The love river is for couples who can enjoy some quiet moments together, and after which, have a nice meal in one of the many restaurants around, chatting the night away!
