Kapalua Plantation Course - Review
Hawaii’s greatest golf course earns its title for its impeccable infrastructure… and also for its impeccable view. There’s no part of the course from where you can’t enjoy spectacular views of either the Pacific Oceans or the West Maui Mountains. Famed for it’s rolling landscape, it’s quite large - 7411 yard par 73 layout, spread over 700 acres – and frequently hosts international championships. The world’s best golfers have played here. Golfing on calm days on Bermuda Grass is naturally better, but windy days serve up better challenges. Beginner golfers can sign up for lessons at the Kapalua Golf Academy.
Next to the golf course is an old pineapple farm (this whole are used to be a pineapple plantation). Most of the people on the golf course will be guests of the nearby Ritz-Carlton.

I really loved the course. It was in great shape. There were bugs all over the greens but they still played and rolled very true so no negatives there. It was very disappointing to be told that the entire restaurant and snack bar were going to be closed the whole time we were there. I felt like I was being rushed around a place that I came to play and enjoy the views and the time I had on the course. Loud music was being tested and played throughout the last couple holes in preparation for whatever event was going on. I felt under appreciated, and typically when you end up spending $400+ to play a golf course by the time you rent clubs, buy balls, pay for your wife to ride along, that’s not the experience you get. Again, the course was amazing, the experience was not. I think that’s something they need to inform players of before they tee off because I feel I paid for an experience I didn’t receive.
You have to see this place to believe how beautiful it is. My wife and I flew from Honolulu to Maui to visit family and got to go through this golf course to visit a restaurant there. Incredibly beautiful. I highly recommend stopping next time you're in Maui!
My wife and I came here a couple times for the breakfast which was GREAT! The food was always very good and she loved their blend of coffee. The views from the Plantation House were awesome and the service was great. Would definitely check it out if you are in the area! While recently back in Maui, we stopped in for breakfast again. As always, the food was very good and the service pleasant. The views were great... We could even see whales while we ate breakfast.
The course is awesome. The views are out of this world. The golf shop is expensive, but hey your in Hawaii. Overall the course condition in good. There were some bad spots in the fairways, and the greens were damaged in some areas, but they were being address. If your bringing your clubs, play here its so worth it. And bring a camera
This a devastating disaster of an Extremely overpriced garbage golf course. The scenery SUCKED THE COURSE SUCKS AND SHOULD BE PRICED AT $69.00 A ROUND I TOOK MY CAMAER AND TOOK ZERO PICS . MY PARTER WAS A BIT UPSET WITH MY OBVIOUS ANGER BUT PRETTY MUCH AGREED WITH MY THIS COURSE IS A VACATION RUINER
