Kapalua Plantation Course - Review

Hawaii’s greatest golf course earns its title for its impeccable infrastructure… and also for its impeccable view. There’s no part of the course from where you can’t enjoy spectacular views of either the Pacific Oceans or the West Maui Mountains. Famed for it’s rolling landscape, it’s quite large - 7411 yard par 73 layout, spread over 700 acres – and frequently hosts international championships. The world’s best golfers have played here. Golfing on calm days on Bermuda Grass is naturally better, but windy days serve up better challenges. Beginner golfers can sign up for lessons at the Kapalua Golf Academy.

Next to the golf course is an old pineapple farm (this whole are used to be a pineapple plantation). Most of the people on the golf course will be guests of the nearby Ritz-Carlton.

  • My wife and I came here a couple times for the breakfast which was GREAT! The food was always very good and she loved their blend of coffee. The views from the Plantation House were awesome and the service was great. Would definitely check it out if you are in the area! While recently back in Maui, we stopped in for breakfast again. As always, the food was very good and the service pleasant. The views were great... We could even see whales while we ate breakfast.

  • The course is awesome. The views are out of this world. The golf shop is expensive, but hey your in Hawaii. Overall the course condition in good. There were some bad spots in the fairways, and the greens were damaged in some areas, but they were being address. If your bringing your clubs, play here its so worth it. And bring a camera

  • Absolutely incredible. The Kapalua Plantation Course is a breathtaking experience for any golf fan. The course is kept in immaculate shape along with the driving range and putting greens. Every hole gives you a new and incredible view of the water and neighboring islands. Absolutely 0 complaints and I pray I can play again here someday.

  • Kapalua Resort: Kapalua's Plantation course is one of the top-rated and finest championship layouts in the Hawaiian Islands. Built around the natural wonders of the West Maui Mountains, awe-inspiring views, dramatic elevation changes and rolling terrain accompany you throughout. Definitely a course that will challenge your all-round game, and well worth going out of your way to play.

  • Absolutely fantastic facility, staff was top notch and very helpful, hands down the most photogenic golf course I have ever stepped foot on
