Hawaii’s greatest golf course earns its title for its impeccable infrastructure… and also for its impeccable view. There’s no part of the course from where you can’t enjoy spectacular views of either the Pacific Oceans or the West Maui Mountains. Famed for it’s rolling landscape, it’s quite large - 7411 yard par 73 layout, spread over 700 acres – and frequently hosts international championships. The world’s best golfers have played here. Golfing on calm days on Bermuda Grass is naturally better, but windy days serve up better challenges. Beginner golfers can sign up for lessons at the Kapalua Golf Academy.

Next to the golf course is an old pineapple farm (this whole are used to be a pineapple plantation). Most of the people on the golf course will be guests of the nearby Ritz-Carlton.

  • Golfing attire is required.
  • Metal spikes allowed.

  • Fees can go up to USD 295.

  • The course tends to reserved for tournaments in January.

  • You’ll have to drive to here if you’re not staying at the hotel.

  • We have been too this course 3 times during our stay in and had a wonderful experience. This time we were very disappointed with the guy that keeps the group moving. I will do an updated post with his name. We felt awful, because are here for our Anniversary with our Dad, this person made it very uncomfortable the whole way...constantly saying speed up...slow down..we felt like we were 5. We are business owners and felt like the 1400 we spent was a waste. Definitely speak up as this is too much money to spend with a door guy mentality attitude towards people that are spending a lot of money. Very embarrassing for them with such a good reputation

  • Great experience from the first tee to the 19th hole. It’s not a course I would play regularly but every now. Course was in great condition from tee to green. A few views of the ocean, not as many as you would think. My biggest issue was the number of blind tee shots. Hit your drive and your ball disappears over the hill. Don’t mind this, but it’s like 6/7 holes, gets annoying. One other item, check the wind forecast. It can get brutally windy. It’s definitely a bucket list course you should play at least once. Aloha

  • You have to see this place to believe how beautiful it is. My wife and I flew from Honolulu to Maui to visit family and got to go through this golf course to visit a restaurant there. Incredibly beautiful. I highly recommend stopping next time you're in Maui!

  • Amazing course. The resurrect in the club is by far one of our favorite breakfast stops!

  • My wife and I came here a couple times for the breakfast which was GREAT! The food was always very good and she loved their blend of coffee. The views from the Plantation House were awesome and the service was great. Would definitely check it out if you are in the area! While recently back in Maui, we stopped in for breakfast again. As always, the food was very good and the service pleasant. The views were great... We could even see whales while we ate breakfast.
