The ruins of Benedictine are the oldest monuments in Kaposvar and date back to 1061. They are located in the village of Benedictine Monastery of Kaposszentjakab (5 kilometers away from the Ripple-Ronai Museum in Kaposvar). The ruins are of an earlier octagonal chapel and monastery.
