Gilbert Trail - Review

Few things instill as much peace and calm in you as a long nature walk does. Carved stunningly between the greens and the blues, it is sure to bring about a different realization and a specific sense of stability in you. The hills have a way of confabulating and so do the trees. There’s a very specific charm and aura that they exude. Like the coming together of you with your inner self. The Gilbert Trail does the same magic of sorts on you. This place can be spotted about 700 metres ahead of Lover’s Lane and can be traced through Sunset Point. The mud track is approximately one and a half kilometers long and along 300 metres down the line, you will reach the end of the hills. It’s a magic of sorts in this path. It is a heaven for bird watchers and on good sunny days, you will also find the wild strolling by. The path narrows down as you walk by and the fresh breeze and exquisite views weave a story and delight of their own.

  • What a lovely place 😍 for walks, for nature talks, for being with yourself. Kasauli is my hometown, and it's my favourite spot to spend time with myself. This place is love.🤗 From the main road (upper mall) it's about 10- 15 minutes walk to the exact peak. If it's a clear weather you can see the entire Baddi, highways of Chandigarh from the place.

  • Beautiful walk in the wilderness. Small path of about 3-4km through the valley full of natural flowers. Ideal for children and ladies. Nice spot to take photo after about 1km walk

  • Beautiful trail with amazing surroundings. It is a must of you are in kasauli. The whole route is covered up with beautiful colourful flowers on both side. It's a treat of nature that you must have while in Kasauli

  • Awesome place to visit. If you are nature lover you must visit this place. A best place for nature lover. This is a small trail surrounded with the natural beauty where you can sit peacefully and enjoy the nature around you. You will feel very refreshed.

  • Very easily the best part of Kasauli! It’s a walk through the forest and a long trail. Make sure you allocate a lot of time for this. Ours was regrettably too short. Should have spent the whole day there. Therefore, it is better to go when the weather is good. Take food and water and battery backup for your camera. There was no airtel signal inside so it’s safer to go in a group. It’s a simple, popular trail so actually there is no real danger. A must do again!
