About Garden Of Dreams, Kathmandu

The Garden of Dreams, a neo classical historical garden, is situated in the midst of Kathmandu city, Nepal. The Garden's design has much in common with formal European gardens: paved perimeter paths, punctuated by pavilions, trellises, and various planting areas, surrounded by a sunken flower garden with a large pond at its center. It is an architectural landscape that encourages the visitor to stroll around and discover the Garden's treasures from many different vantage points.

Great to spend a romantic evening with a loved one or even a peaceful few hours by yourself, the Garden of Dreams is a wonderland in its own right. An oasis of calm in the heart of the bustling Kathmandu, the gorgeous greenery is definitely a panacea for a weary soul. So it doesn’t come as a surprise when you see a lot of people lazing around din the garden with a book in their hand or just enjoying a nap in the pleasant sunny weather.

Even though you might find the food a bit overpriced at the Garden of Dreams restaurant, the serene feeling of joy that you feel there is truly priceless. For Garden of Dreams opening time, opening days and entrance fee please refer the below given information.

  • Garden of Dreams charges a nominal entrance fee (less than $5 for two people), but it is worth the price. It is a lovely place to sit down and escape the noise and hectic crowds of the city. The lawns are well maintained, and if you are lucky, you can grab a padded mat to lie down on. There are also a couple small cafes where you can enjoy some tea and snacks.

  • Good place to hang out with. I recommend for romantic moods only. At times family visits might be ruined by random kissing couples around. Other than that its best in town

  • Beautiful garden in the center of the city. It's surely worth a visit if you have time in Kathmandu. But it's not too big. And if you go in afternoon, don't forget to take rest under the tree.

  • A great place to be! The ambience is very good, there are restaurants inside and access to WiFi is free once you have a ticket. A ticket costs hundred rupees for locals, thus a fairly inexpensive way to be right in the heart of the city and still get away from the city's usual business.

  • It is a good place to hang out. Especially with your other half. The place is peaceful, not crowded but somehow cheap. Just Rs 100/- per entry. Awesome place to visit.
