Tucked in the famous Hanuman Dhoka, the Nasal Chowk was the coronation square of King Gyanendra. The courtyard is rectangular and at the entrance, you will find the intricately carved doorway leading to the enormous Narsimha Statue devouring the entrails of Hiranyakashipu. The Audience Chamber of the Malla Kings or the Sisha Baithak has an open veranda housing the portraits of Shah Kings and the Malla Throne. Nasal Chowk also has the five levelled Panch Mukhi Hanuman Temple. On the eastern section, you will notice the Royal Throne and the palanquins for carrying Queen Aishwarya.
