New Orleans, Kathmandu Reviews
Great breakfast menu. Can swap items if they do not suit (e.g. for vegetarians and vegans). Mexican breakfast is the best - huge and very filling. Great service and atmosphere and clean bathrooms!
Veg burger was a little dry... little cheese... But the place is awesome! In the middle of some traditional buildings... good service... good music...
Hidden down an alley near the Kathmandu Guest House, New Orleans boasts an intimate candlelit vibe, a classy blues and jazz soundtrack and live music on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It’s a popular spot for a drink, but the menu also ranges far and wide, from Thai curries to Creole jambalaya and oven-roasted veggies. You need to book a table in the high season.
What a beautiful soothing place to have your meals. Located quite centrally in Thamel, this cafe has soft soothing music playing which adds to its vibe. Ordered Simple breakfast which came with cut watermelon, 2 pieces of good bread, butter and jam and 2eggs any style. Must say, bread was definitely way better than other places I've had it. Highly recommend
An up market eatery with a gentle jazzy international atmosphere where European style breakfasts are served at a smooth and unforced pace by untrained easy going waiters with a penchant for slowly ruining your morning wake up with unnecessary interruptions or distractions. The breakfast promises a little taste of home but disappoints especially when it comes to the bread or meat products : too little a portion or as with the unpalatable sweet bread a strange after taste that leaves one yearning for a good hearty meal again. However this cafe environment is a haven from the street outside this excellently designed and superbly presented space which emanates a international "cool". Main meals will probably reflect the mediocre chefing skill the city has generally but that's debatable. Would I eat here again ..yes but not breakfast which was a disappointment.
