Situated on the Heyburn Lake, it has lush green lands surrounded by sandstone hills dotted with Oak trees. Spring is a great time to visit the park with the flower blossoms of redbud trees and wild plum trees adding a dash of vibrant colours to the park. Water Skiing, Boating, and fishing by the Heyburn Lake are the recreational options available if you are looking at exploring beyond the serenity of the park. • I absolutely love Heyburn Lake! Sheppard's Point is the side our entire family camps at and we have for many, many years. The campgrounds are always clean and well-kept so we do our part to leave it clean when we leave. We owe Heyburn Lake/Sheppard's Point a great deal for all the Beautiful Memories we have made over the years; and as long as the Good LORD is willing we hope to make many, many more. GOD Bless You All at Heyburn Lake!

  • lake was low during our visit. Sheppard's point is really nice Campsites are roomy and clean. Restrooms were OK

  • Heyburn lake is a nice quiet lake. There aren't big boats making wakes to distrupt your kayaking. It has very clean bathrooms and showers. We just spent the afternoon but it looks like a nice place to camp as well.

  • This is a nice place to swim! It does cost $5 to get in but it's worth it! It's clean inside the water and out on the beach! If you're looking for a family spot I'd recommend this place!

  • Very nice place with spacious campsites. Clean bathrooms with shower facilities, playground for the kids to enjoy and a lot of fish! Rangers patrol the area which makes it feel so much safer for taking walks. Also had a cute raccoon come visiting which was an added bonus.
