  • We have stayed at Captain Lord Mansion for several years. First impressions are tremendous and you won't be disappointed. It's large lawn, with lawn chairs, a fire pit, gazebo and hammock welcome you before you even step inside this beautiful Inn. You know at once you are welcome as the staff greet you with their Maine hospitality. Rooms: We occasionally change our room choice, but one thing is consistent, it is always quality. The staff, the cleanliness and the ambiance always comes through with flying colors. The Garden House offers a quiet, more "home" like feeling with fewer guests and rooms and the front porch offers a place of solitude away from the bustle of town. However, the Main House gives off a grandeur that is hard to resist. The rooms are just as welcoming but on a bigger scale. It all depends on what type of visit you are looking for on your trip. Either way you will enjoy your accommodations. Both places serve up a tremendous breakfast that will bring you back, in and of itself! While there ... check out the various excursions suggested by the Inn Keepers. We especially love going on the Lobster Boat!

  • We absolutely love your B&B! We feel so at home and relaxed as soon as we arrive. Everyone is so kind and helpful. The breakfasts are superb and perfect in how they're served. The most important thing to me is cleanliness and freshness. You seem to have a great standard, I hope you keep it up. The only downside for us was the awkward tub you have to navigate in order to take a shower. We are both tall and we had a difficult time getting in and out. It really felt quite dangerous. When I call to book for next year I will request a walk in shower.

  • We got into town a little late so registered about 5:30 PM and the staff gave us a great tour of all of the services and areas of the Mansion. We were in a guest house, which was so very charming, a cozy, quiet room. Not one bad thing to say about anything involved in our whole experience. Carrot cake, crackers and cheese, all types of drinks available in the kitchen available to us at any time. We had to leave early the next morning so didn't have time for breakfast, but we are sure it would have been great. Everything was perfect. I would recommend a stay at the Mansion to anyone, you will not be disappointed in any aspect of your stay.

  • The hotel is cute, staff very polite and location is great. The bathroom is very nice and it was great to have a Keurig in the room. The bed was very comfortable. We booked a river view room, thinking it would be nice to sit and look at the river. However, it was disappointing as there is just a small body of water below and the view is mostly of buildings. We had to keep our curtains closed. The size of the room is smaller than expected. The two of us had to constantly move around to get into and out of the bathroom. My suggestion is to move the bed closer to the glass door. The breakfast was adequate but also disappointing. There was no fruit other than cut up brown apple.

  • Upon arriving coffee, tea and snacks were available and we loved the tour and history of the house. Our room was very nice and quiet. The location was perfect for we could walk to the shops and restaurants in town. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly and hospitable. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to others.
