Lake Of The Woods Museum Reviews & Ratings

  • Loved this museum! Staff was so wonderful and friendly staff providing great details for our walk through! The interactive props are great and it was all around a wonderful experience

  • The ladies who work here are incredible! From the time we moved to Kenora they have been so friendly and welcoming. The museum has become a favourite location for events and exhibits!

  • The staff is so great, so friendly, so involved in their work! And the museum is really great to understand how a Canadian community can grow, and why it can also decrease. This is an amazing place, for Canadians and foreigners.

  • Great place to go. Wonderful gift shop.

  • This beautiful museum is the perfect size to get through within a couple of hours or less - which is nice, because you can only absorb so much at at time. You can pick up an i-pad for a self guided, detailed tour/information on the exhibits or just wander through, reading the plaques on your own. There is always a featured exhibit right across from the front desk and a lovely little gift shop with a wonderful selection of books on the local area as well as quality children's and gift items. Lake of the Woods and Kenora are full of history, this is a wonderful place to gain a better appreciation for this special part of the world.
