Wolf's Lair are military bunkers in Ketrzyn, Poland. Famous for being the first Eastern Front military headquarters of the infamous Adolf Hitler, the structures today lay in ruins. Construction of these headquarters marked the beginning of the plan of invading the Soviet Union. This top-secret site was built in 1941 and served as safe quarters for four years. Although the site was deemed to be secret and safe, one of the most prominent attempts of assassination of Hitler, the “20 July plot”, was made here.
