Seven Mile Bridge, Key Largo Reviews - Write a Review

  • The Seven Mile Bridge was a part of the Flagler Train line that opened the way for people to travel to Key West Florida by train instead of boats. In the 1930's the rail way was converted into a auto highway to Key West, and Florida keys. The old 7mile bridge was apart of that highway until the 1980's when new modifications were made to the highway. The old section was not a part of the new updates. Now it's a walking path over open water so far out. Not open the car traffic anymore. You sure can take some beautiful pictures out there thou.

  • It’s not actually seven miles long haha! It’s more 6.8 miles but sigh, I guess if you want to LIE TO THE TAX PAYERS fine. Over all it’s pretty neat...IF YOU LIKE SLAVERY! This bridge was built off the backs of Cubans, with bones of African brothers as rivets, and concrete wet with the blood of Mexicans. Only drive this route if you are racist!

  • We enjoy this pier on bikes or on foot. We often see turtles, sharks, rays and other fish and birds. Very convenient to stop here for a leg stretch and some fresh air on the way south on US1.

  • The daytime scenery from the bridge is amazing! Views of the ocean and sunset combined are mesmerizing.

  • Good place to grab some lobsters. You need to work around the posts during slack tides. Also, there is some monster Tarpon trolling around, if you hook one watch out, they're big and fast and go vertical as soon as they feel the hook.GL
