It was a Coast Guard Cutter which was 329-feet long and was used by advanced divers who made use of open and clear hatchways along with open rooms. This place is very popular for scuba diving and is visited by many scuba divers all year round. It is considered to be an historic shipwreck and has been added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
