Harry S Truman Little White House - Review
The Harry S Truman White House is Florida’s sole presidential museum. During the days of his tenure, this house at Key West used to be the erstwhile President’s winter White House. Renovations made to this Key West landmark has served it in good stead and is now a major tourist attraction. All the original home décor used by the President(s) are all intact and available for public viewing. It’s said that Presidents Kennedy, Carter and Clinton too used this house as their retreats. Among the vast gardens, there’s also a 103 acre military and parade ground.

Harry S Truman Little White House, Key West Reviews
This is Truman's summer home. While interesting, the price for entry is fairly high, about $20.00 dollars a person. The price of admission comes with a guided tour of about 6 rooms. It's cool history, but the weird policy of no photos was a little off-putting. If you're a huge history buff, then it might be worth it. Yet, it has little relation to modern American presidents; the last president to stay there was Clinton.
Great tour, full of amazing stories and information. I would not recommend bringing small children as everything is off limits to touching so it’s not really a kid-friendly tour. It’s about an hour long. No photos are allowed. Time and money well spent.
I hadn't been interested in this site, but our companions were, and price is reasonable (discount for military; though we learned that if you're military you can buy tickets for another few dollars less at Tours & Tickets at the Naval Air Station--probably for many other sites as well). It turns out it's a "presidential museum" and also still actively available for use by the executive, which means you can't take photos during the tour and have to turn off your phones; and the gift shop has not just Truman items but other presidents' including Trump stuff (good for some people, but not for me). Still turned out to be totally worth it! Great tour, lots of stories from a knowledgeable and charismatic guide (can't remember her name, alas; Chris, maybe?), a beautiful house with all kinds of neat history. I recommend it.
Loved it! We came in to visit on Sun and got a worm welcome by the staff as soon as we came in to the door. We picked up a news paper from 1945 and glanced through it while waiting for the tour to begin. Tour around the house is 45 min long and run every 20 min. Our tour guide (woman) was really nice, curtious and took really good care of our group. Presentation was professional and well done. We had a great time touring around White House, tipped her well. Can't ask for any more than we had. We really enjoyed it! Thank you!
This is a lovely part of the island and well worth exploring. The Little White House is a delightful time if you have extra time. Really pretty and nice to see the history.
