Visiting this museum will take you back in the 1930s. Years, which were dominated by the oil boom, are perfectly captured here. This fascinating place tells the story of the largest oil field in the United States, people of that time, their tools, their lifestyle and their homes. East Texas citizens have donated actual antiques, which make this whole story more interesting. You can learn so much about the history of this place through audio narrations, movies, and dioramas. There is an elevator ride at the end of the tour. It takes you under the ground where oil deposits were found. The staff has been taking good care of the place and is very friendly.
