Bella Cafe Restaurant And Pizza Bar, Kingscote Reviews
The food is gorgeous. Ordered beef sirloin and 12inch pizza. Amazing dishes. Really recommend.
Super busy place, slight wait time, but with customers and take-always it was going like a fair-well worth the wait as the three different Pizzas we had were the BEST we had ever had-would highly recommend!
Great pizzas, even better service. Guys are really friendly!! Our favourite food place in KI!
This is a very run of the mill pizza cafe (kind of Dominos style), no thin crust Italian delicacy. I ordered the lasagne and asked for it to be served extra hot as I am pregnant and reheated food needs to be served very hot. The person taking the order said “It’s hot, it goes through the oven twice.” Well it wasn’t, it was cold in the middle and the pasta was hard. They re-cooked it so it was hot, it took a long time and I lost my appetite when the woman brought it out and told me, it took so long because the oven was off and they had to cook it in the pizza oven. My husband tasted it and thought it was ordinary. My son’s pizza was a margherita with way too much cheese on it, my husband had s vegetarian with salami and he said it was passable. Not sure why this place gets good reviews. KI certainly lacks decent restaurants but this one does not stand out as a good dining option.
Shocking is one way to describe my experience tonight. Upon arriving to the restaurant my cousins and I were rudely refused entrance in and that we had to “find our own seating arrangements outside”. I let this slide because they appeared busy but what happened next scared my cousins and I. Whilst trying to find a seat my cousins asked the ‘owner’ can we move a table- and without saying anything else she replied with “no! We aren’t liscensed. There is no room. Only pizzas!!!” Now you may think I’m over exaggerating well ahaha this is an understatement, she literally made zero sense. Following this we decided to put two tables together in the liscensed area using whatever tables and chairs we could find out of the unorganised seating arrangement. Other customers were willing to help and we were fine until the same person came back and grabbed the chair out of my hand claiming customers were upset and uncomfortable because we were moving tables... sorry, what?? I tried to explain and she wouldn’t have it and was very confronting and I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable. I work at a high end bar in Adelaide city and if a customer asked for us to move some tables (assuming we had any available) without another moments notice we would! Following her rude manner I decided to confront her about her childish, immature and mannerless behaviour. I entered the restaurant and I get yelled at “your not alowed in here”. I asked why? Well the reason being “becauseit’s a restaurant”.... again, sorry, what???? I then began to explain how uncomfortable I was and immediately I was told to calm down and accused of things I hadn’t done and I had been called a liar. I told her to calm down and she got angry and somewhat physical as I felt her hand touch me during her ‘vent’. Tempting to leave my cousins wanted food so we got pizzas from Bella. Not even being busy, we were told to wait an hour for our pizzas to be ready. Being hungry and tired we just agreed to it and went home. We returned an hour later and was told to wait another half hour or so. Within in this time other customers who had waited much, much longer for their food were fed up. In the end it took almost two hours for our pizzas to be ready and as we left a customer who we befriended (because the wait was too long) detailed how his pizzas were average.... we agree with that completely. By all means go to this restaurant if you want to wait two hours for stock standard food and be potentially abused. I know I won’t go back and will advise everyone else not too!!!
