Kirkenes Snow Hotel - Review
Kirkenes snow hotel: if you are looking for the ultimate snow experience, the Kirkenes snow hotel is much recommended on your trip to Kirkenes. Undoubtedly the small town faces snowfall for more than half a year but the snow hotel is definitely something one wouldn't think of. The beauty of this hotel is that it melts away and is rebuilt by a Chinese set of workers every year. The hotel has snow sculptures and its walls are intricately decorated and designed with snow alone. Although you have the table chair bed and bar made up of snow as well, the snow hotel is pretty cozy and assures to keep you warm below -5 degree c. The snow surface is covered with reindeer fur while the bath water as well as drinking water is served warm. The Kirkenes snow hotel also offers northern lights wake up calls and provides with several activities like snowmobile safaris and dog sledges. Once you get to Kirkenes, this is an experience one has to witness. Make the snow hotel is a vivid and pleasant memory on your trip to Kirkenes.

Kirkenes Snow Hotel, Kirkenes Reviews
Absolutely amazing! Best experience we had in Norway. I'd recommend it to anyone. Dog sledding was probably the most exciting part and I'd recommend to go crab fishing over the ice fishing. As you're guaranteed to eat something in the end. Even if you don't have enough warm clothes the staff are all extremely helpful and will provide any extras you need. Just perfect
Excellent activities, staff and ambience for a perfect white Christmas get away. The staff are cheerful, helpful and passionate! The dog handlers know their huskies by name. We have been on many dog sled rides, this is the most impressive! It is so good to see that all dogs are treated well and with respect. Thank you to all staff at the Snow Hotel for making our holiday pleasantly memorable!
Incredible experience. Dog sledding, crab fishing, wonderful meals, cozy environs, and then the ice hotel itself. I can't say I liked sleeping in the cold, but the carvings on the wall of each room is fun, and it is something everyone should do at least once 😊
Excellent place to visit. Fantastic sculptures and construction. Informative and friendly staff. Also get to see the Husky dogs and reindeer. Would recommend.
We just spent a lovely afternoon at the Snowhotel, paying 250 NOR each for a guest pass. As we were a large group (five), we booked a taxi from Kirkenes and paid on the door - saving some cash over the day trip price (and avoiding the crowds a little). Each room of the hotel is decorated differently -- Frozen, the Joker, Marilyn Monroe, a log cabin. Really fun looking through all the rooms (which aren't available to paying guests until 5pm). We also saw a couple of reindeer and spent some time with the huskies and chatting to the staff/handlers. The little GABBA restaurant is lovely, with a beautiful, warm fire in the centre. The restaurant staff encouraged us to try the free berry juice, which is sat in big pans by the fire keeping warm - lovely!
