Old Town, Kissimmee Reviews
Love this little place. We visited here from Jacksonville the weekend of the antique car show. The place was crawling with people and some sexy sexy cars. Loved the 'cruise'. Young lady on the loud speaker actually told a little history about each car as they drove past. Put an end to the friendly bickering between the wife and I. "That's a 69.. You're wrong, it's a 71". You know..... Events for the kids (big and small) at the fun center. So grab a cold drink of your choice and stroll down memory lane. Check the calendar for events. I think the car shows are only in August.. It was cool.
Went during the day on a Saturday an was rather empty. There is a fun spot next door you can visit as well. I really liked the dollar store in the corner and the vintage style shop by the fountain. Very nice to walk around and take pictures. There are different shops and some restaurants that would be nice to check out. Good thing to do if you have a few hours and its easy to get to. Parking is free and area felt safe. Also there was a bunch of classic cars on display which was very nice to see. There are public reatrooms with a bunch of stalls and they were very clean.
I go all the time for the Car Cruise. Cruise needs to be more organized. They need to charge admission and get the high end cars back. Maybe have 50/50 drawings and give always. Assigned spots for regulars would be a nice addition. Good Bands. Parents need to control their children better around these cars.
Old Town is a hidden gem if you've never heard of it before. There's so many shops and places for food and drinks. They have regular events Thursday through Saturday. Plus they have special event when applicable. They're open late. Every places I've stopped in has had reasonable prices. It's family and pet friendly. It's just a lot of fun and a lot of options in one convenient location. I've been going for years and will continue to do so. It's one of my favorite spots.
This is an amazing place to bring the whole family too. They have any little store you can imagine. Plus they have a place to take dress up family photos. They have a magic show daily. They have great food and desserts. It's all covered if it starts raining, which happens a lot in florida. Next door they have the giant swing. A must see place in Orlando.
